PiP Resident Plus

More for residents. More connection for families. More village life at your fingertips.

PiP is designed to make village life easier, calmer and more connected.

Your village may already use PiP for notices, meals, events, maintenance requests, photos, welfare check-ins and other day-to-day updates. But some residents and families may want a little more.

That is where PiP Resident Plus comes in.

Resident Plus is an optional upgrade that gives residents and approved family members extra tools for connection, enjoyment, confidence and peace of mind — all through the same simple PiP screen.

Large text. Clear buttons. No cluttered dashboards. No complicated app-store process. Just more of what helps you stay connected to your village, your family and the things you enjoy.

Made for residents first

Made for residents first.

PiP has been designed for older eyes, simple tapping and everyday village life.

Resident Plus builds on that same calm experience with extra features for residents who want more entertainment, more family connection, and more ways to feel included.

What Resident Plus can include

More of what residents and families value.

More games and daily activities

Enjoy extra games, puzzles, quizzes and light activities from your own device. Perfect for quiet afternoons, rainy days, or simply keeping the mind active in a way that feels enjoyable rather than complicated.

You can play on your own, or where your village enables it, join in with others.

  • Daily quizzes
  • Word games
  • Memory games
  • Number games
  • Bingo-style activities
  • Village challenges
  • Seasonal puzzles
  • Gentle brain-training activities

Family connection

Resident Plus can help approved family members feel closer to village life without needing to call reception for every update.

Family members may be able to receive approved updates, photos, event highlights and warm weekly summaries about what has been happening in the village.

This helps families feel reassured, while still respecting resident privacy and village approval settings.

Residents remain at the centre. Family access is designed to support connection, not take over.

  • Approved family access
  • Shared photos and memories
  • Family notes
  • Weekly village-life summaries
  • Event recaps
  • Special moments and milestones
  • Updates only where the resident and village allow it

Photos, memories and moments

Save and share special moments from village life. Resident Plus can help residents and families enjoy photos from activities, trips, celebrations, birthdays, clubs and community events.

Whether it is a garden group, happy hour, concert, outing, quiz afternoon or family visit, PiP helps keep those memories easy to find and enjoy.

Read aloud and accessibility tools

Some residents prefer to read. Others prefer to listen.

Resident Plus can include additional accessibility tools such as read-aloud support, larger text options and calm display settings to make the app easier to use day to day.

PiP is built around dignity and simplicity. The goal is not to make residents feel “technical”. The goal is to make the screen feel obvious, friendly and useful.

Village connection, your way

Resident Plus can help residents stay more connected with what is happening around them. Depending on what your village enables, this may include:

  • Social clubs
  • Interest groups
  • Activity reminders
  • Event recaps
  • Resident stories
  • Photos from village life
  • Games and challenges
  • Family updates
  • Helpful prompts and daily summaries

You can use a lot, a little, or nothing at all on a quiet day. PiP is there when you want it.

Built around privacy and permission.

Resident Plus is designed to be useful without being intrusive.

Family access, photo sharing and resident information are managed through permissions and approval settings. Your village controls what is enabled, and residents should always know what is being shared and with whom.

PiP is not about replacing personal visits, phone calls or face-to-face support. It is about making it easier to stay connected between those moments.

A calmer way for families to stay close.

Families often want to know that Mum, Dad, Grandma, Grandad or a loved one is okay. But villages are busy places, and reception teams cannot always provide constant personal updates.

Resident Plus helps bridge that gap. Families can feel more included. Residents can share more of village life. Staff can reduce repeated update calls. Everyone stays better connected in a calmer way.

Help bring PiP to your village

Help bring PiP to your village — and receive a $500 Prezzy card.

Would you like PiP available in your village?

We are inviting residents, family members and Residents Committees to introduce PiP to their village operator.

If your introduction leads to your village becoming a PiP customer, we will provide a $500 Prezzy card as a thank-you.

You can choose whether the Prezzy card goes to:

  • You personally
  • Your Residents Committee
  • A resident social fund
  • Another approved resident group within your village

It is our way of saying thank you for helping bring a calmer, more connected village experience to more residents and families.

How it works

  1. 1

    Tell us about your village

Let us know your village name, location and who you think we should speak with. This might be the village manager, regional manager, operator head office, Residents Committee chairperson or another key contact.

  2. 2

    We contact the village operator

We will explain PiP clearly and professionally, including how it helps residents, families, staff and management. There is no pressure on you to “sell” the system. We will handle the conversation.

  3. 3

Your village decides whether PiP is right for them

The operator can view a demo, ask questions and decide whether PiP suits the village.

  4. 4

If your village signs up, we send the $500 Prezzy card

If your introduction leads to a confirmed PiP subscription, we will provide the $500 Prezzy card to you, your Residents Committee or your chosen approved resident group.

Subject: PiP Villages app for residents and families

Kia ora,

I came across PiP, a senior-first retirement village app designed for residents, families, staff and village operators.

It looks like it could help with notices, events, menus, maintenance requests, photos, family updates, games and other village communication in one simple system.

I thought it may be worth having a look at for our village.

The website is: peopleinplace.co.nz

Kind regards,

[Your name]
